Welcome to the wedding of Frances & Nicolas…
The Brief
It was fantastic to be back to Stoke Park Club again and work with the brilliant team there; it’s a wonderful venue all year round but nothing beats it when the sun is shining which (luckily!) it was at the wedding of Frances & Nicolas. Their wedding was all about summer love and luxurious elegance and sophistication. They had guests from afar and not so far join them to celebrate so to them, it was important everyone had a fabulous time and were able to spend time with the bride and groom. This was a 3 day celebration with our focus on the main wedding day.
The Ceremony
We could tell the ‘getting ready’ was such a special experience for both the bride and groom – and Nicolas was treated with a surprise from Frances of an incredible American car (a nod to his heritage) to take him from Stoke Place to the ceremony at Stoke Park Club.

We were so pleased the weather was so glorious and Frances & Nicolas were able to be married outside on the terrace at Stoke Park – the weather was set to be so good that we made sure to bring lovely little white fans for all the guests to keep them cool whilst sitting in the sun! Frances walked down the aisle (to a very happy Nicolas!) as a harp played beautifully. Once married, the very happy couple looked really ready to celebrate and to share the day with their guests!
Bouquets and buttonholes were beautifully designed by Simon Nickell and the bespoke stationery created by the wonderful Intricate Creations.
The Reception & Wedding Breakfast
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the glorious sun before moving into the wedding breakfast. The décor was effortlessly classic with whites, yellows and golds. Simon Nickell’s floral table centres really made the whole look bringing all the elements together. A wonderful detail was the wedding favour each guest received at the table; an image from Frances & Nicolas’ engagement shoot was used to create a pack of playing cards which was packaged beautifully in an ivory box and ribbon.
The Party
Shortly after cutting the incredible cake created by ‘Cakes by Krishanthi’ (Yes, the flowers are handmade out of sugar!), Frances & Nicolas’ guests joined the couple on the dance floor for their first dance before partying the night away! Those who had a break from dancing could enjoy the summer evening outside, relax and watch the brilliant band (The Soul Brothers) or take a few photos in the mirror photo booth.
