Welcome to the wintery wedding of…
Stacks Image 400
It’s normally the summer when the weather forecast is much studied, but for this wedding, the snow was a concern, turned into a delight.

Guests arrived into the courtyard of the unmistakable Blenheim Palace and were whisked into the warmth of the light-filled Orangery to take their seats for the ceremony. The bride entered on horse and carriage and, as if perfectly arranged, a light dusting of snowflakes marked her very special arrival.

Amanda and Merrill had put lots of effort and thought into their ceremony (music in particular was very important to this couple), incorporating many happy and heartfelt songs from The Kingdom (gospel) Choir, as well as involving their mums in the lighting of a special unity candle. To the sounds of ‘oh happy day’, guests were ushered along the Colonnades past a wonderful photo corner with large canvas-mounted wedding day photos of both bride and groom’s parents and grandparents. It was then time for some celebratory refreshment in the characterful Marlborough Room which was beautifully dressed in purple linens and lighting with more than a dash of sparkle and candlelight.
The couple took a tour in their horse and carriage (despite the weather) before heralding the start of the delicious winter wedding breakfast. The purple, silver and snowflake effect was carried through in table linens, floral designs, lilac pearlescent laser cut stationery and with the glitter dusted wedding cupcake tower. The talented Three Waiters entertained an unsuspecting crowd mid-way through the meal and the evening was then topped off with a fantastic mix of classic Irish jigs and live sounds by the Jazz Dynamos. Much fun and merriment was had by all!
